The Full Residence

Our most comprehensive offering — a full-home partnership for clients undertaking a renovation, new build, or complete transformation. Caitlyn serves as your dedicated creative director from concept through reveal.

All full-project fees include a flat design retainer plus a 20–30% trade markup on furnishings sourced through our exclusive vendor network — meaning clients access pieces unavailable at retail, often at or below retail pricing.

Installation day is our favorite. We arrive before your furniture, stay through final styling, and don't leave until every last detail is exactly as envisioned.

I'm Caitlyn — a designer, mother, and lover of rooms that feel genuinely inhabited. I started Colonial by Caitlyn because I believe that the most beautiful homes aren't the ones that look perfect in photos — they're the ones that feel right the moment you walk through the door.
My approach draws on classic American and European traditions — layered textiles, aged woods, handcrafted ceramics, and quality upholstery — filtered through a modern lens that never sacrifices comfort for appearance.

About Caitlyn
I’ve been drawn to design for as long as I can remember. Fabric, color, texture, and the way spaces make us feel. I graduated from the Boston Fashion School of Design and spent over five years working in the fashion industry before my path led me into the yoga world, where I’ve been teaching and training for the past 16 years. This career has allowed me to travel the world, deeply influencing my design approach and my appreciation for enduring craftsmanship, layered materials, and timeless antiques.
As a mother of three, I believe design should support the life happening inside a home. My work is rooted in creating calm, cohesive spaces that honor classic New England architecture while feeling warm, livable, and collected over time. I specialize in kitchen and bathroom remodels and furnishing homes that blend classic style with modern comfort.
